Abdulaziz Aghanya: Saif al-Islam is a “winning card” in light of the failure of successive governments since 2011

Political researcher, Abdul Aziz Aghanya, said that Dr. Saif al-Islam does not need what some describe as a trial balloon after the statement of the Zintan forces, nor to enter the political arena, as he was there before 2011.

Aghani added, in statements to Al-Wasat TV, that he is not surprised by the noise accompanying the Zintan forces’ statement, because Dr. Saif al-Islam’s local and international opponents always try to create confusion when any statements or even pictures are issued that celebrate any thing or symbol of the previous era.

He pointed out that Dr. Saif al-Islam’s paper had become profitable in light of the failure of successive governments from 2011 until now, because it represents the stage of security, safety and stability before 2011, stressing that the Zintan forces’ statement was made in coordination with Dr. Saif al-Islam’s political office.

He pointed out that there are fears of international interference hindering Saif al-Islam’s candidacy, especially after the statements of the former British ambassador, as well as the possibility of Washington using an American or Western veto to prevent Dr. Saif al-Islam’s candidacy.

He continued that although Dr. Saif al-Islam is the least militarily active party in Libya, he is the most popular and widespread, stressing that the kidnapping of Sheikh Ali Busbiha is reprehensible and rejected by everyone and must be subjected to urgent investigation and released immediately.
