Al-Marimi: Stephanie Khoury must review the election procedures and form a new government
The media advisor to the Presidency of the Tobruk Parliament, Fathi Al-Marimi, said that the Deputy UN Envoy, Stephanie Khoury, must review the election procedures, according to what was agreed upon, and the formation of a new government, adding that we have a road map that has been agreed upon, which is the formulation of electoral laws in agreement between the Tobruk Parliament. Al-Marimi added, in statements to Al-Hadath satellite channel, that the next stage must include the formation of a single government, whose duration does not exceed 8 months, and provide the necessary support to the Election Commission, in order to conduct the electoral process in Libya, pointing out that we want to form a new government that unites the divided institutions. He pointed out that we want one Ministry of the Interior to secure elections in all parts of Libya, as well as for oversight agencies, to monitor everything that happens in the country, pointing out that elections cannot be held in the presence of two governments, and we want one government in order to implement the electoral process in a transparent and correct manner.
