Al-Bakoush: The Americans are not stupid to leave the task of forming the government to Haftar, an ally of the Russians
Salah Al-Bakoush, advisor to the godfather of Resolution No. 7, which was unjust to Bani Walid Abdul Rahman Al-Suwaihli, said that the Americans, the British, and the UN envoy Abdullah Bathily are not stupid in leaving the formation of the next government to the Tobruk Parliament, or in other words to the American Khalifa Haftar, an ally of the Russians.
Al-Bakoush added, in statements to the “Libya Al-Ahrar” channel, that the Americans will not accept that the Russian ally forms a new government, adding that the crisis in Libya is not a problem of governments, as Hammad’s government is the 13th in the history of Libya. Is the solution to form another temporary government?! no not like that.
He pointed out that those who are moving against Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba are the ones who lost to them in Geneva, and all those who are moving to become prime ministers in the next government to share the cake again, asking, “Why are we without a constitution for 13 years?” Why do we have two Houses of Representatives that are 12 years old? Because they do not want to keep the situation as it is.”
He pointed out that there are no influential forces in Libya, but rather they are all merely forces supported by weapons, and the Libyan people want all of these faces to be completely absent, adding that the American Haftar has the power of weapons and Al-Dubaiba has control over state institutions, and neither of them is popular at all.
He continued that the foreign missions realize that without Al-Dabaiba, successful elections will not be held in Libya, adding that the crisis is that Aguila Saleh and those who support him do not want the elections because they realize that it clearly means their departure, and will put the American Haftar in an embarrassing position before an elected authority that he will not be able to submit to.
He stressed that the most prominent thing that shows their lack of seriousness is what Ibrahim Al-Darsi previously said about the formation of the Dabaiba government when he said: “Our seat is with Aqila and everyone took his lot.” These people only want to share the spoils and do not want elections. He continued, “Why do these people refuse the departure of all governments and the House of Representatives?” And the state appoints a group of judges to administer the elections?! Because they only want the spoils.”
He added that successive governments, including Al-Dabaiba government, have brought the country to a very bad security, political and economic situation, so the people do not want new governments, but rather want elections, adding that we need new solutions, not just fabricated solutions. Personally, I do not mind the exit of Al-Dabaiba government, but no parliament is chosen. Tobruk and the American Haftar, the new government.
