Al-Bayoudi: Bathily’s resignation brings Libya into the stage of “the departure of the corrupt elite”
The political activist in the city of Misrata, Suleiman Al-Bayoudi, confirmed that Bathily’s resignation brings Libya into a new phase, the title of which will be punish “those involved in the Daniel disaster, and the departure of the corrupt ruling elite.”
Al-Bayoudi explained, in statements to the Emirati website “Erm News”, that Bathily’s resignation is the most polite model, because it paves the way for his deputy, Stephanie Khoury, to play a pivotal role in resolving the crisis, especially since she will be supported by the will of her country, the United States, and its allies, according to what he said.
He added, “I do not think that the next solution to the crisis will be without a short outburst of violence, especially since the corrupt ruling elite in Libya must prepare to leave and punishment.”
Al-Bayoudi believes that the nature of the next solution may come in reformulating the 75 Committee in a different way, meaning that the solution will come through a comprehensive dialogue and not through the approach that Bathily proposed and proved to be a failure.
