Al-Bayoudi: Those who chose to withdraw from the reconciliation project are “the most mature”
The political activist in the city of Misrata, Suleiman Al-Bayoudi, confirmed that national reconciliation in Libya is just a loose term, and must be reset within a legal framework following the renewal of legitimacy in Libya after the elections are held, which in turn requires the formation of a new government that represents everyone so that it can be held.
Al-Bayoudi explained in statements to the Aswat “Magharebia website” that talk about reconciliation has become merely a political card rather than a national project, indicating that he believes that “those who chose to withdraw from the project are the most mature in their positions.”
He continued, saying, “The popular uprising that Libya witnessed in the wake of the Daniel disaster showed that differences could disappear as no party set conditions to extend a helping hand to Derna and the stricken cities.”
It is noteworthy that the work of the preparatory committee for the inclusive reconciliation conference witnessed many withdrawals, most notably the withdrawal of Dr. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi’s team until its conditions are met, the most important of which is the release of all prisoners and detainees held by the militias since 2011. A few days ago, the American team of Khalifa Haftar also withdrew in response to Al-Manfi’s withdrawal of the annexation decision The wounded are under threat in Tripoli.
