Al-Ghuwail: The Tripoli government had large budgets but was unable to create security stability
Salama Al-Ghuwail, former Minister of State for Economic Affairs in the Dabaiba government, said that investments were not destined to succeed in light of the lack of transparency, the deterioration of security, and the crises facing the Tripoli government, and he is counting on the eastern government to make a positive change in this regard in the near future.
Al-Ghuwail added, in an interview with the “Erem Business” website, that the Tripoli government had large budgets, and could have confronted the crisis early, but it was unable to create security stability.
He pointed out that the east of the country has attracted large investments recently, and we can see something tangible good in this sector through investments or the like, referring to the parliament’s approval of additional budget allocations worth $ 18.3 billion.
He pointed out that investments in the electricity sector in the next fiscal year may exceed 2 billion dinars ($ 413 million) in the east of the country, noting that the electrical connection, especially with Egypt, and serious investments in the sector are the beginning of ending the crisis.
