Al-Sharkasi: The disagreement between Aguila and Takala over the formation of the government makes Dabaiba confident that he will remain and that there will be no change

Al-Sharkasi explained, in statements to the newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat”, that Takala clearly confirmed that he did not agree with the Speaker of the Tobruk Parliament, Aqila Saleh, on the mechanism for forming a new government, and described this step as “unilateral”.

Al-Sharkasi believed that the situation will remain suspended until the periodic elections for the presidency of the Supreme Council of the Brotherhood “the State Advisory Council” are held in early August.

He continued by saying, “If Takala, who is known for his closeness to Dabaiba’s policies, is re-elected, this means that the division between the Dabaiba government and the Hamad government will remain in place until the UN mission calls for a new political process.”

He concluded by saying, “In the event that another figure wins, specifically from the National Consensus Bloc in the Supreme Council of the State, which is in agreement with the parliament, there may be a possibility of activating and supporting the call to form a new government.”
