Al-Sherif: Khoury’s statement is consistent with Bathily’s position during the announcement of the outcomes of the first Tunis meeting
A member of the Tobruk Parliament, Ismail Al-Sharif, said that we are counting on the internal support and welcome for the outcomes of the Cairo-Tunisia meeting, noting that the two councils anticipated the UN mission, which must communicate well.
Al-Sharif confirmed, in statements to Al-Masar TV, that through our meetings in Tunisia and Cairo, we formed community communication committees, pointing out that the committees communicated with all political forces to expand the base of participation and approaches to get out of the crisis.
He explained that we have previous experiences with the mission regarding national consensus and that it should welcome the approaches, noting that Stephanie Khoury’s statement is consistent with Bathily’s position during the announcement of the outcomes of the first Tunis meeting.
He continued by saying, “We are awaiting the response of the State Council after the elections for the presidency of the Council regarding receiving the files of candidates for the new government.”
