Al-Yaseer: Washington is trying not to lose its position in Libya, especially after the increase in Russian influence
The Chairman of the Defense and National Security Committee of the former National Conference, Abdel Moneim Al-Yaseer, considered that the recent American efforts come within the framework of a struggle for influence, describing American foreign policy as “blundering.”
Al-Basir confirmed, in statements to Al-Ain News Agency, that the United States is trying not to lose its position in Libya, especially after the increase of Russian influence in Africa.
He explained that Washington could have not left Libya, but it chose to withdraw in an inexplicable way, referring to the departure of its mission from Libya a decade ago.
