An expert in the oil field: It is not possible for Libya to supply the Nigerian refinery with crude oil in light of the unstable production
The legal expert specializing in the oil field, Othman Al-Hadiri, said that it is not possible for Libya to supply the Nigerian Dangote refinery with crude oil in light of the current situation and the unstable production of the oil fields.
Al-Hudayri confirmed, in statements to the “Safar” platform, that the contracts concluded by the National Oil Corporation with the brokerage companies and shops that entered and contracted with the International Marketing Department after the year 2011 created harmony with selfish interests and overcame the interests of the nation.
He pointed out that our traditional partners in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, who own refineries, were excluded after the contracts I mentioned previously, so those ambitions that some say will not be achieved.
He pointed out that the situation requires reconsidering the marketing policy and returning to strategic partners such as (Resol, Eni, Total, OMV and other partners) to ensure real markets and obtain in return products with international specifications.
He added that what is happening today is contrary to the lowest norms that the Oil Corporation has known during the past 50 years, and the solution lies in a comprehensive change in the marketing philosophy, its people, and the application of industry principles.
He concluded by saying, “The Nigerian refinery’s needs will be covered by other countries capable of producing large quantities of crude oil, such as Venezuela and Iran, even through the black market.”
