Aqeel: February 17 is only “NATO Revolution” to achieve their goals against Gaddafi

Political analyst Ezzedine Aqeel confirmed that describing what happened on February 17 as a revolution is not the correct description, but rather the correct description of it is that it is a “NATO revolution” because it wanted to achieve NATO’s goals against the martyr leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Aqeel explained in statements to Monte Carlo Radio that NATO wanted during that period to form the Libyan state again, in order to serve its interests, and to enable them to establish their own military bases, as is currently happening in the country.

He added, “The West wanted to reuse Libyan lands militarily, and they wanted to exploit Libyan oil and use it to serve foreign hegemony and interests, and their desires were fulfilled. Therefore, this is the NATO revolution, not the revolution of the Libyan people.”

He concluded by saying, “In the beginning, people went out in demonstrations not to overthrow the state, but to put pressure on Muammar Gaddafi, and to take greater steps towards a democratic system, but this revolution was hijacked by NATO members to achieve the interests of foreign hegemony.”
