Bin Shorada: Spending the budget in light of the presence of two governments means the continuation of the existing division

A member of the Supreme Council of the Muslim Brotherhood, “The State Advisory Council,” Saad bin Shorada, confirmed that the Council rejected the budget that was approved by the Tobruk Parliament, for two reasons, the first of which is legal and the other is related to the fact that it reinforces the division taking place in Libya.

Bin Shorada explained in statements to the “Sada Al-Eqtisadiah” newspaper that the adoption of the budget came in a way that violates the political agreement, which stipulates that the executive authority prepare the budget and then pass it to the “Supreme Brotherhood,” which gives its binding advice on it and then delivers it to the House of Representatives, and this is what did not happen, according to what he said. .

He added, “Disbursing the budget in light of the presence of two governments is a problem that embodies the existing division, and means its continuation and the difficulty of unifying the two governments after that.”

He concluded by saying, “The State Council demands that the budget not be disbursed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, which is an unrealistic request, because if it were agreed upon by all parties, the bank would disburse it.”
