Libyan playwright Ali Al-Falah described the boxing festival that was held the day before yesterday in the city of Benghazi as “the wedding night of sadism,” expressing his dissatisfaction with that celebration: “What is the pleasure in watching a person beat another person and make sure to drop him covered in blood?”
Al-Falah added, in a post on his page on the social networking site “Facebook”, that those who enjoy this are proud that they are aligned with their faith, which has at its origins the rejection of violence, pointing out that boxing is the greatest evidence of the glorification of brutal instincts and is an example of the lack of humanity.
This was stated in the third chapter of the Green Book issued in 1975, written by the martyr leader Muammar Gaddafi, “Boxing and wrestling of all kinds will come one day and the conscious people will ban them.”
