Brotherhood Sawan to “American Haftar”: We say it frankly and we are not afraid of you. We will not allow the return of military rule or family rule
Muslim Brotherhood leader Muhammad Sawan, head of the Democratic Party, said, “We did not have anything before Skhirat, neither a government nor money. A person from us in Al-Watiya was waiting for a thousand dinars to take to his children,” indicating that there was no final recognition of any government for us and the Western region. did not have any source of financing, so we resorted to settlement.
Sawan confirmed, during video clips published on the official page of the Democratic Party, that if this situation continued without any settlement, the military project led by the American Khalifa Haftar would have extended its control over all of Libya by force of arms, because they were the strongest.
He pointed out that we will not allow the return of military rule or family rule, we say this to the American Haftar clearly and frankly, and we are not afraid to talk to him, explaining that there is no concession to the peaceful transfer of power, and Libya will not be dependent on anyone’s name.
He pointed out that the armed militias want Libya to be merely “cantons,” each part of which controls a region, and thus we are not a homeland. He continued that Al- Dabaiba government did not bring elections so that it stipulates that it will not emerge except through elections, and he cannot confiscate the Libyans or their opinions.
He directed his words to Al-Dabaiba, saying that the interest of Libya is more important than him and he must take a step back so that the Libyans can decide their fate, adding that Al-Dabaiba’s words are really strange because it is not the destiny of the Libyans and he must leave his position, and it is in his interest to remain and no electoral laws will satisfy him.
