American Center: Al-Dabaiba and Haftar are obstructing any agreement to form a unified government that will supervise the elections

The American research center Stratfor accused both Dabaiba and American Khalifa Haftar of obstructing any agreement to form a unified government that could supervise the elections.

The research center said in a statement: “Despite the recent agreement between the leaders of the three councils in Cairo, it is still unlikely to form a unified government in Libya. Without any support from Dabaiba, it will be difficult to unify the Libyan government, which appears to remain divided for a long time between the East and the West.”

The center continued by saying, “Even with the unexpected support from Dabaiba, the Libyan political system will remain fragmented between the East and the West, because Khalifa Haftar wants to participate in any future government, which puts more difficulties in the way of forming a unity government that can supervise the elections.”

The center concluded by saying, “Also, the call of the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Sadiq Al-kabir of the Speaker of Parliament, Aguila Saleh, for the necessity of approving the formation of a new unified government, amid accusations of intensive spending by the Dabaiba government and parallel spending from unknown sources, which greatly complicates the Libyan scene.”
