Zuwara Municipality holds Al-Dabaiba and Al-Trabelsi responsible for the clashes at the Ras Jadeer port

The Municipal Council of the Greater Zuwara Municipality held Al-Dabaiba and the militiaman, Imad Al-Tribelsi, responsible for the clashes that took place in Ras Jadir, accusing the “law enforcement” force of storming the crossing without coordination with the crossing administration and local authorities, and verbally assaulting the security services and physically assaulting citizens.

The Council explained in an official statement that this force “fired gunshots that led to the injury of citizens of the village of Ras Jadeer, causing great tension and a violent reaction,” noting that a member of the Council was exposed to a gunshot from this force.

He added, “We were able to control matters and avert strife, but we hold the government and the parties responsible for managing the port responsible for the chaos and strife resulting from provocative actions. The government and the Ministry of Interior are responsible for systematic chaos in favor of limited regional agendas, concealed by power structures.”
