The spokesman for the Tobruk Parliament, Abdullah Beleehaq, acknowledged the chaos caused by NATO in Libya after the February catastrophe, saying that “NATO countries did not help the Libyans with stability and democratic transition and left space for regional interventions.”
Belhaq explained in special statements to the “Political Keys” platform that Libya is suffering today from the presence of mercenaries and international forces, and the UN mission in Libya’s goal is to manage the crisis and not the solution, adding, “This is perhaps the result of different views and interests regarding Libya in addition to settling scores and conflict between them.” .
Belhaq held the militiaman, Imad Al-Trabelsi, responsible for the tension at the Ras Jadeer crossing, due to his failure to control the armed militias in the western region, calling for the necessity of intervention to save the situation.
He continued, saying, “ Al-Dabaiba government is the one that bears the primary responsibility for the security of the Tunisian borders,” describing the failure to resume work at the crossing as completely unacceptable, especially since it constitutes a major commercial gateway between the two countries.
Belhaq attacked the UN envoy, Abdullah Bathily, and described him as “in the eyes of a factor obstructing the political solution, and it is not possible, through the five-party meeting, to reach a breakthrough in the impasse in the political scene, especially since these parties lack trust among themselves and also do not want to budge from their places in favor of Consensual framework.”
