The Trabelsi Joint Chamber denies its expulsion from the Ras Ijdir crossing

The joint security room formed by the militia, Imad Al-Trabelsi, denied that the room’s commander, Abdel Hakim al-Khitouni, and his assistant were expelled from the Ras Jadeer crossing.

The Chamber explained in special statements to the “Safar” platform that what is being circulated about the withdrawal of the law enforcement force and its expulsion from the port by certain parties in the region is incorrect and its purpose is to ignite the fire of strife, according to the Chamber.

The chamber said: “The force that accompanied Al-Khitouni had an inspection mission, for the purpose of assessing the damage and the security situation to plan the necessary arrangements to reopen the crossing, and it returned to its headquarters in Al-Assa according to the instructions of the Ministry of Interior before the sunset call to prayer.”

It went on to say, “The circulating clip that claims the expulsion of the force only shows complete darkness, which proves that it is not true, because the force usually has its headquarters in Al-Asa in broad daylight.”

It concluded by saying, “The units affiliated with the Libyan army brigades are still stationed at the crossing as they are, and the chamber will later hold a meeting to officially take over the crossing.”
