Al-Manfi: The five-party table faltered due to the conditions of its parties, so we involved the Arab League.

The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, said that the Council was established for several reasons, including reconciliation, but among its tasks is to unify institutions, which is one of its main tasks, adding that we came after war and fighting and there was a clear division, and reconciliation has many aspects. If it were only tribal, we would leave the matter to the tribes to You solve it.

Al-Manfi stressed, during his meeting with the activities of the Souq Al-Jumaa areas and the four districts, that reconciliation has political, economic, and security aspects, in addition to the effects of corruption and marginalization, adding that all of these matters occur due to the absence of a national charter that brings everyone together according to a societal dialogue.

He continued, “I told them when they invited me to the five-party table meeting, I have no problem with anyone. I can go and talk to any of the parties. Why should I meet with you then?” adding that we moved away from the scene so that we could practice positive neutrality and be able to resolve disputes between the parties if they arose. .

He explained that corruption is a very important issue and greatly hinders interests, and must be dealt with mainly in conjunction with the progress of the reconciliation file, noting that without a budget we open the door to corruption, and it causes widespread confusion between the executive and legislative authority, which is what prompted us to launch the Supreme Financial Committee.

He pointed out that the legal controls for approving a budget are a major problem and a dilemma that needs to be solved, which leads us to the necessity of holding legislative and parliamentary elections so that there are sound bodies capable of approving budgets and following them up, explaining that external interventions have become negative because some people seek to use them in order to remain in power.

He stressed that the crisis lies in the fact that some people are trying to falsify facts for the sake of certain interests, and this is what happens by some officials clinging to their positions, adding, “When I go to any meetings, whether in Cairo or elsewhere, I focus on the idea that consensus is not in my interest, meaning we do not talk about Only a new government. Rather, we are talking about a comprehensive solution and unifying institutions.”

He concluded by saying that we found that there was a stumble in terms of the five-party table and its initiative, due to the conditions of some participants, so we intervened and involved regional organizations such as the Arab League and the African Union due to negative foreign interventions.
