Political analyst, Ezz El-Din Aqeel, confirmed that he was surprised by the extent of the great misinformation contained in the speech that Bathily delivered before he announced his resignation from his position.
Aqeel explained, in statements to Sky News Arabia, that the only honest word that Bathily said was that Libya has become an arena for fierce competition regionally and internationally, driven by a geopolitical conflict, that is, he describes the American-Russian conflict in Libya, whether by Wagner or Ammentum.
He added, “Bathily links the failure to reach a solution to the Libyan crisis to the positions of foreign countries, whose stampede in Libya was described as fierce, and not to the local parties, and this is the only matter in which he is honest.”
He continued that Bathily’s speech and his last briefing are like clear hypocrisy, because he is too cowardly to say who are the main foreign parties that are fiercely fighting in Libya, because they are the ones who favored him with the position he is in.
He concluded by saying, “Bathili was satisfied with this position because of the large salary granted to him, which exceeds 50 thousand dollars per month.”
