Abdulaziz Aghanya: “Busbiha’s detention…is it a summons or an arrest in the context of settling scores?”

Political researcher, Abdulaziz Aghanya, said that arrests, detentions, and summonses in eastern and western Libya outside the framework of the law are reprehensible by everyone, and the judiciary must be supported in order to carry out its duties.

Aghani indicated, in statements to the “Libya Al-Ahrar” channel, that Sheikh Busbiha was summoned by the Internal Security Service and transferred to Benghazi. Until now, we do not know whether this position is a summons or an arrest as part of settling scores.

He added, “Isn’t it enough for all these lives that have been lost since February 17 until today? For 14 years, the weapon has not fallen silent. Any action whose purpose is to heal, take revenge, or eliminate opponents, whoever committed it, must be stopped.”

He pointed out that anyone who is arrested or dies during arrest operations is reprehensible, and must stop immediately, stressing that February 17 is responsible for all this security chaos and the killing of 100,000 people over these years.

He continued that there are kidnapped persons for whom no media space is allocated to support them, such as Abdelaziz Banum, whose fate was not known for this activist for many years and who was kidnapped from the heart of Tripoli.

He continued, “We do not want bidding between September and February. Libya is in a dangerous situation, violated sovereignty, foreign forces, and an attempt to build an authority or an army. From the midst of this rubble, which is full of selfishness, we cannot bid on each other.”

He stated that the political solution agenda is clear for the Libyan crisis, which is to hold elections quickly according to a constitution, but there are parties that do not want elections and do not want a solution, adding, “Politically, the country needs a constitution and going to the ballot box for presidential and legislative elections. The crisis, how do we reach this matter?”

He concluded by saying that we need transparency regarding the increase in arrests in all regions, because they are matters that affect people’s lives, and the formation of committees and proposing solutions to such crises, adding that the parties that control weapons and money are the ones who control the scene and are the ones who obstruct going to the elections, and are responsible. About the deteriorating economic situation in the country.
