Brotherhood man Sawan reveals the falsity of rumors that there was a deal between the Brotherhood and Saif al-Islam before the February catastrophe

Muslim Brotherhood leader Muhammad Sawan, head of the Democratic Party, revealed the falsity of the rumors that circulated during the February 2011 catastrophe, that Dr. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was the one who allowed members of the terrorist Brotherhood, who had fled abroad, to return to Libya again.

In an interview, on the “Abaad” platform, Sawan denied the existence of a deal between members of the Brotherhood and the Jamahiriya regime, under the supervision of Saif al-Islam, in 2006 AD.

He stated: “February 17 took place and there was no agreement on the return of the Brotherhood to Libya,” pointing to the return of members of the Brotherhood and leftists to Libya, but through individual agreements, and not with the organization.

Regarding Saif al-Islam’s position on the opposition before the February catastrophe, Sawan said: “Saif al-Islam was communicating with the opposition abroad, whether Islamists or non-Islamists, and many elements returned to the country, and there was communication between the Brotherhood at home and abroad with Saif al-Islam group, and in During that period, there was an improvement in living conditions in prisons, and they allowed visits.”

He pointed to the improvement of conditions in Libyan prisons during the Jamahiriya regime, saying, “We were suffering from obesity due to eating too much. They also provided us with books, communications, and various other things.”

At the conclusion of his speech, he explained that the West fabricated the weapons of mass destruction crisis for the martyr leader Muammar Gaddafi and the late Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, as an excuse to get rid of them.
