The commander of the Volcano of Rage Support Militia, Nasser Ammar, confirmed that Dr. Saif al-Islam Muammar Gaddafi is supported by more than half of the Libyans, and they want him to return to power or assume a standard position in the country.
Ammar explained in exclusive statements to the Libya Press platform that Dr. Saif al-Islam is very popular in Libya, and his supporters may be one of the factors in the failure or success of the electoral and democratic process.
He added, “Any party that is a partner in excluding Saif al-Islam from the elections is a partner in the failure of the Libyan state. The participation of all parties in the elections is a necessity, and no party should be excluded. Saif al-Islam’s nomination reflects the principles of the February Revolution, there is no doubt about that.”
Ammar warned that there are those who are keen to remove Saif al-Islam from the elections, because they want the Libyan crisis to continue and not to find a solution to it.
He concluded by saying, “We must be fair and rule justly, regardless of the issue of the International Criminal Court with Saif al-Islam, and be fully aware that Saif al-Islam is not alone, and realize that there are those who want to hand Saif al-Islam Gaddafi over to Tripoli or carry out an assassination operation.”
