Delhomme demands the release of the kidnapped Captain Hannibal Gaddafi: he is being subjected to systematic abuse and lacks the most basic human rights

Aqila Delhoum, head of the Human Rights and Media Committee for the kidnapped Captain Hannibal Gaddafi, said that what was shown in the media in Lebanon about the condition of the kidnapped prisoner in one of the Lebanese “underground” prisons, accompanied by a narrated hadith from the prisoner himself in which he described the very bad conditions of his forced detention, completely confirms what we have indicated. Previously, Hannibal, who is being unlawfully imprisoned, is going through a difficult and continuous phase of systematic mistreatment that lacks consideration of the most basic human aspects.

Delhoum stressed, in statements reported by the Lebanese Al-Shiraa magazine, that the rights that must be provided to any “prisoner” within any “legal” institution should be subject to judicial controls and the provisions of prison administration and organization in terms of treatment and living methods, and in a way that guarantees the prisoner’s physical and psychological safety.

He pointed out that what the Lebanese “political” authorities are doing, under the guise of the Lebanese judiciary, of seizing the freedom of Captain Hannibal Gaddafi, contradicts the conditions for adhering to the rules recommended by many international human rights organizations, led by the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

He pointed out that, in light of these repeated violations of the rights of the kidnapped Captain Hannibal Gaddafi, we appeal to all local, Arab and international humanitarian and human rights organizations, led by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, calling on the brotherly Lebanese people to intervene quickly in the case of the “kidnapped” Captain Hannibal Gaddafi in the State of Lebanon. ; For purely political reasons that have nothing to do with its consequences, using all means of positive and humanitarian influence, including human rights inspections that guarantee his safety, and working hard to save his life and free him, stressing that he is being subjected to unjust forced detention similar to disappearance outside the protection of the law.
