Al-Shibli: Libyan politicians handed over the scene cards to the Americans, the English, the French, and the Turks

Fathi Al-Shibli, head of the People’s Voice Party, said that the public scene is now governed internationally, as Libyan politicians have handed the playing cards to the Americans, the English, the French, and the Turks, adding, “Locally, matters are in the grip of a group of politicians who refuse to leave the scene.”

Al-Shibli pointed out, in statements to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, that the tribal sheikhs no longer have any role, influence, or say over their sons, since 2011 AD, stressing that the tribes began fighting among themselves, after the outbreak of war in the country and the spread of weapons, which caused… The social fabric is torn.

Al-Shibli stressed that relying on the tribe to find a political solution after the cities and tribes fought and blood flowed between them no longer existed, as the word now belongs to the weapons and those who are financially and militarily influential.

He continued by saying, “Relying on the tribe to find a political solution is an illusion, and the Bani Walid meeting was preceded by dozens or even hundreds of meetings in various cities in Libya, all of which were a cry in a valley, and had no impact on the political scene.”
