Musa Ibrahim: Saif al-Islam Gaddafi is a unique national figure

Dr. Musa Ibrahim, former spokesman for the General People’s Committee, confirmed that Dr. Saif al-Islam Muammar Gaddafi is successful, as evidenced by the fact that all the projects of Al-Dabaiba government are the projects of tomorrow’s Libya, adding that he is a unique national figure.

Ibrahim indicated, in statements to the Saudi Al-Hadath satellite channel, that Dr. Saif al-Islam was arrested after NATO strikes by a Libyan armed group that opposed him and his father, pointing out that these enemies turned into his supporters and became his guards and supporters who are now presenting him as the alternative national project for Libya.

He pointed out that Dr. Saif al-Islam, with his patriotic personality, was able to expose the Libyan scene and present an alternative that the tribes were convinced of and transformed even those who were his enemies into supporters, noting that Captain Hannibal Gaddafi was illegally kidnapped and tortured, and this was proven before the Lebanese judiciary.

He continued that there is no family project in Libya for the Gaddafi family, but there is a national project led by Dr. Saif al-Islam, and his brothers have no direct political contribution to this project.

He explained that what happened 13 years ago was the destruction of the Libyan homeland due to NATO missile fleets and battleships, stressing that there are 10 foreign military bases in Libya and 20,000 foreign fighters on Libyan soil, according to United Nations statistics, as Stephanie Williams said.

He stressed that those foreign forces are occupying its soil, which was liberated by the martyr leader Muammar Gaddafi in 1969 when he expelled all foreign military bases from Libya and liberated it from the Italian settlers who owned its farms, homes, and sea.

He pointed out that the Gaddafi family did not rule Libya, but those who ruled Libya were the Libyans through their political, social, and economic institutions, adding, “Gaddafi’s sons, Saif al-Islam, al-Mu’tasim, Khamis, Aisha, al-Saadi, and Saif al-Arab, were all Libyan citizens present in various locations without any rule or leadership.”

He concluded by saying, “The only one who had a leadership role before 2011 was Dr. Saif al-Islam, and his role was not a government leadership role, but it was a youth role through his project, Libya of Tomorrow,” adding that the Libyans’ nostalgia for the Gaddafi family will not stop because the vast majority stood against the February catastrophe and they are the reason. Which led to the martyr leader Muammar Gaddafi’s steadfastness for 9 months in front of 44 countries.

He continued by saying, “After 13 years, they found a country that had been stolen from its administration, completely destroyed, with no development, and divided into militias that governed it. Libya now has identity-based arrests, and the incidents of assassination will not end.”
