Al-Shoh: The Russians use Haftar and do not trust him, and American intelligence tempts the militias to launch a war against Moscow
The former advisor to the Supreme Council of the Muslim Brotherhood, “The State Advisory Council,” Ashraf Al-Shoh, confirmed that the Russians do not trust the American Khalifa Haftar, but rather only use him.
Al-Shoh indicated, in an interview with the ideological “Libya Al-Ahrar” channel, that the United States and the CIA are currently trying to implicate some Libyan military groups in the western region in carrying out limited operations against Russian forces in Libya.
He added, “The Americans are currently trying to tempt some military leaders in the western region to push them to carry out limited operations against the military bases in Sirte and Al-Jufra. The goal of this is for the Russians to respond to these operations, after which a new military operation or war will be generated in Libya.”
He stressed that what he says is not an analysis, but rather information received from within these militias, indicating that the Dabaiba government is not enthusiastic about carrying out any military operations as it waits for the opportunity to conclude any political deals to continue or remain in power.
He went on to say, “There is no desire for any official support to confront the Russian expansion in Libya, so American intelligence is active to lure some Libyan fighters.”
He continued by saying, “Propelling the outbreak of wars from behind is an American policy that it has followed since 2011 until today, and it is what it has also implemented in Ukraine and is seeking to repeat in Libya.”
Al-Shoh touched on the Russian intervention in Libya by saying that it can be rooted in several axes, the most important of which is the economic aspect through printing money for the benefit of the Libyan East, which led to the collapse of the value of the Libyan currency.
He stressed that what is also most dangerous over the past two years is its interference in the process of exchanging oil for fuel, which Moscow exploits in cooperation with the head of the National Oil Corporation in agreement with Haftar and his sons, and this is the main reason for not shutting down oil in Libya.
He stated that Libya helped break the economic blockade that Moscow is suffering from, as Russia is benefiting from the Libyan division, because without this division, Russia would not have been able to provide the necessary cover for its presence in Libya and the region.
As for the goal of the American Haftar in military cooperation with Russia, he said that he is waiting for the opportunity to return to war again, even though the decision to go to war in Libya currently is not a local decision, but rather an international decision, according to him.
He added, “Washington is currently in a critical phase regarding the elections, and it is not known whether Trump’s policy, if he returned to the White House, would be in line with traditional American policy. Libya is not like the African Sahel countries or the rest of the African countries. America will not allow the Russian expansion to reach its goal and will seek to stop it before To achieve any of its goals.
He concluded by saying, “America can make Haftar distract those around him by bringing him the prosecution case in the United States, but their crisis is that Haftar is ensuring the stability of the eastern region, and that with his death, this region will enter a state of chaos, which will provide room for the expansion of extremist organizations.”
