Sudanese journalist: Haftar is involved in supporting the Rapid Support Forces

Sudanese journalist, Al-Sadiq Al-Ruzaiqi, said that the Sudanese party has never denied the possibility of Haftar’s involvement, along with the United Arab Emirates, in supporting the Rapid Support Forces, adding that the matter relates to documented accusations and is not a figment of the imagination of the authority in Khartoum.

Al-Raziqi added, in a statement to the “Maghreb Voices” website, that this came due to the increasing pace of support provided to Hemedti’s forces in the recent period, especially in light of the presence of information confirming the involvement of regional parties, including the Republic of Chad and Central Africa, in addition to the forces of the American Haftar in Libya.

Commenting on the two visits made by Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo to Tripoli last February, Al-Ruzaiqi said that Khartoum is very clear in its relationship with the parties and has a diplomatic representation in Tripoli led by a former military commander who has a close relationship with Al-Burhan, which indicates the importance of The relationship with Tripoli for Sudan.

Al-Ruzaiqi suggested that Hemedti’s visit to Tripoli came “as part of a mediation initiative between the two parties,” adding, “It may be a purely Libyan initiative or a Libyan-Turkish initiative,” describing it as “an orphan visit that may not be repeated due to the lack of interests that bring the two parties together.”
