Legal expert: It would be better for the House of Representatives to consult with the “Supreme State” regarding the budget
The legal expert in the field of oil, Othman Al-Hudayri, believed that it would have been more appropriate, in the current circumstances and for political considerations and the unstable situation of the state, for the Tobruk Parliament to consult with the Supreme Brotherhood “State Advisory Council” in approving the budget for the year 2024 AD.
Al-Hudayri pointed out, in statements to the “Sada Al-Eqtisadiah” newspaper, that one of the reasons for the confusion and the country’s divided state is the disagreement between the two councils, and they did not reflect their concern for the unity of the country in any positive step despite the meeting with Tunisia before last Ramadan, and the coordination to meet in Cairo in the next two days.
He continued by saying, “If the two councils stress the importance of Libya’s unity and actual and political rapprochement, this will be a prelude (to the formation of a new government) capable of reuniting the nation from this fragmentation and division, and this will be reflected in the state of the nation and the citizen.”
