South African newspaper: The United States informed the South African authorities about the 95 Libyans affiliated with Haftar
The South African newspaper, The Daily Maverick, revealed that the United States informed the South African authorities about the 95 Libyans who were arrested, affiliated with the American Khalifa Haftar.
The newspaper confirmed that the American authorities reported the presence of these forces, due to Russian cooperation with Khalifa Haftar and his sons.
It pointed out that the South African police announced last Friday that they had arrested 95 Libyans, during a raid on a farm used as a secret “training camp” for a security company, after collecting intelligence information about the camp’s activity.
It pointed out that the police accused the arrested Libyans of establishing a secret military base in the country, in White River in Mpumalanga Province.
It added that police investigations indicate that they received military training, and that the site had been transformed into an illegal military training base.
