The former spokesman for the Ras Jadeer crossing: We have no means of pressure except by closing the crossing and Al-Trabolsi, sparking the anger of the people of Zuwara

The former spokesman for the Ras Jadeer crossing, Hafez Muammar, said that we have no means of pressure except by closing the crossing to achieve the demands of the municipalities, adding that there are cities that close the roads every week and no one talks about them and they do not open them until their demands are met, but they only talk about those who close the Ras Jadeer crossing to achieve their demands. Similar.

Muammar added, in an intervention on the “Libya Al-Ahrar” satellite channel, that these are people who only want their rights and to find food and drink. They do not want dollars or euros, indicating that the crossing belongs to the state, so let it take it, but they provide services to the people of the region and let the Minister of Interior come with any body to manage it.

He pointed out that if the problems of the people of Zuwara had been solved, the port would not have been closed or the problem would have been created, adding, “All the former interior ministers were running the port. Why did its problem appear when Trabelsi took office?!”

He explained that the militiaman, Imad Al-Trabelsi, sparked the anger of the people of Zuwara with what he did by managing the crossing, which made people lose their patience. He pointed out that the second crisis is the government’s bureaucratic procedures that hinder the provision of services to the people of Zuwara. The only thing that helps it is the desalination plant in the region, which are mere routine procedures.

He continued by saying, “No one is talking about that there is no funding or money in Libya. The country has billions spent in certain cities, but the people of Zuwara only want their rights. The people of Zuwara do not want gardens worth 50 million as they are equipped in other cities. They only want water and electricity. No.” We have services as if we were in Somalia.”

He concluded by saying, “Closing the crossing is merely a means of putting pressure on the government, despite our objection to it, but they had no other means.”
