The Tunisian Observatory for Human Rights: Closing the Ras Ijdir crossing falls within the framework of settling political scores
The head of the Tunisian Observatory for Human Rights, Mustafa Abdel Kabir, said that there is a possibility of opening the Ras Jedir border crossing from the Libyan side next Thursday.
Abdel Kabir added, during a telephone interview with the Tunisian Al-Jawhara satellite channel, “The reasons for closing the crossing are due to internal political conflicts, and it is not possible to talk about external international interventions,” pointing out that the issue is related to Libyan-Libyan settlements.
He pointed out that some disputes re-emerged after the agreement that concluded the reopening of the crossing, which led to the disruption of this procedure, stressing that the conflict falls within the framework of settling political scores, the slogan of which is either separating the Libyan state from the influence of the crossing, or no one is outside the state.
