Al-Marimi: Al-Dabaiba government is trying to obstruct the elections so that it does not leave the scene
The media advisor to the Presidency of the Tobruk Parliament, Fathi Al-Marimi, confirmed that it is Al-Dabaiba government that is trying to obstruct the parliamentary and presidential elections, despite their awareness that it is a great popular demand of all Libyans.
Al-Marimi explained in statements to the Saudi Al-Arabiya channel that the majority of Libyans want to hold elections, and accused many parties in the Libyan scene of trying to obstruct this demand, despite the Tobruk Parliament issuing the necessary electoral laws based on what was agreed upon by the 6+6 Committee, according to what he said.
He added, “There is obstruction from some parties, including the outgoing Dabaiba government, which is clinging to power and is obstructing these elections because it realizes that the electoral laws specify a road map that requires the presence of one government in all of Libya until we head to the elections.”
