Badi: Haftar forces’ control of Ghadames will represent the collapse of the ceasefire agreement

Imad Eddin Badi confirmed that western Libya is now immersed in major unrest in the context of the mobilization of the forces of the American Haftar, which some see as a prelude to a possible attack on Tripoli.

Badi indicated, in statements to the “Maghreb Voices” website, that the goal of this mobilization is to control the airport of the city of Ghadames, located 650 kilometers southwest of Tripoli, and currently under the control of the Dabaiba government.

Badi believed that the control of the forces loyal to the American Haftar over Ghadames, a strategic area at the intersection of Libya’s borders with Algeria and Tunisia, would represent the collapse of the 2020 ceasefire.
