Nova: The return of 62 migrants to Libya is in the eyes of Italy and Malta

The Italian Nova Agency confirmed that the Libyan Coast Guard is carrying out repulsive operations from the Maltese search and rescue area, indicating that this is an illegal practice carried out under the supervision and knowledge of the Italian and Maltese Coast Guard.

The agency indicated, citing the “Alarm Phone” project of the “Watch The Med” non-governmental organization, which launched a distress call for a small boat with 62 people on board facing difficulties in the central Mediterranean region.

The humanitarian project, which now condemns the rejection of migrants, explained that they are fleeing Libya, facing strong winds and waves, as the climate conditions worsen.
