Abed Rabbo: Gaddafi was very welcoming to Yesar Farhat and Abdel Nasser was “his parental symbolism”
The former Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Yasser Abed Rabbo, confirmed that the martyr leader Muammar Gaddafi was very welcoming to the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, as he was very friendly in dealing with him, despite Arafat’s boldness in talking to him sometimes.
Abd Rabbo said in an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that Gaddafi accepted all of Arafat’s reactions, because he appreciated “Abu Ammar” not only because he was older in age, but also because he was older in terms of his history of struggle.
Abd Rabbo also touched on the martyr leader’s relationship with the late Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser, saying that “Gaddafi considered Abdel Nasser as his origin and paternal symbol that embraced him.”
